Never, Because
“You can't be right by doing wrong; you can't be wrong by doing right.”
Thomas S. Monson

“Enthusiasm makes the difference.”
Dr. Norman Vincent Peale

Reflection:  I think that enthusiasm does make a huge difference in, not only your grades, but in your everyday life. For example, if I don’t try my best in class or if I’m not excited to learn then I won’t try my best in class or in anything. If I’m excited to learn and I have a lot of enthusiasm then I will try my best in everything that I can possibly do.

Student Success Statement
“I wasn’t trying to leave a legacy. I was trying to do what was right.”
Dean Smith

Reflection: In my opinion I think that Dean Smith is really nice and caring. Throughout the videos that we just saw, he seems like he really cares about his players. He isn’t like other coaches. Other coaches wouldn’t do what he does. He actually punishes his players if they say bad words or if they do something wrong. He wants his players to do right and he seems like a very nice man. You can also tell that he must be doing the right thing because he seems like a very well-liked man. I have a lot of respect for Dean Smith. I feel like many coaches should be like him.

news story

January 2, 2015, a mother came out of the store to find her car and child missing. The mother had said that she grabbed her infant from the back seat of her car. Since her three year old son was asleep, she thought that she wasn’t going to take that long in the store so she would just leave him in the car. When the mother came back, she had found that her car was no longer in its spot and her son was in the car that had been stolen. Police had then found the car abandoned. They think that the person who stole the car found out that there was a child in the car and so he left the car. The mother was thankful.

My view on this story is very surprising. My own opinion on this is why did she leave her child in the car in the first place. It’s illegal to leave your child in the car.  Even if the child was asleep, he is still small and shouldn’t be left unsupervised. All of that could have been avoided if she had taken her son with her. Yes, her car would have been taken but what if the person who stole the car killed the boy.

“Every time I've done something that doesn't feel right, it has ended up not being right. “
Mario Cuomo

Reflection: This quote has a lot of meaning to it. It’s saying that every time that you have done something that doesn’t feel right to you; it ends up not being right at all. It kind of says that whatever you sense is pretty much true.  It is true. If you feel like whatever you are doing is the right thing, then it must be the right thing, but if you feel like it is the wrong thing, then it should be the wrong thing.

“Intelligence plus character that is the goal of true education”

M. L. King Jr.

Reflection: I don’t know what this goal is trying to say. I don’t really fully understand it. I don’t think that your education shows whether how smart you are. You can go to a poor school and you could still be the smartest kid there. Maybe you don’t pay attention at all and you are still smart in many other ways.
