I agree with this because something’s that we do today whether it’s right or wrong, it can affect us in another day.

 

Dress Designer

Duties and Responsibilities:

A dress designer helps make different variety of dresses. From wedding dresses to Sweet 16 dresses to Prom dresses they help with anything.

Education:

The main thing to becoming a dress designer is to learn how to draw. From then on you go to a fashion school and they teach you what you need to know.

Reflection:

I would want to become a dress designer because it looks really fun. The bad thing is that I don’t know how to draw. I think that it would be a great career.

Reflection:  I agree with this quote because you can always set your goals so that you know how your future turns out. But, sometimes is doesn’t always work like that. Maybe the universe doesn’t want your life to be that way and they give you a harder time to reach that goal. Sometimes it’s just good to kind of let the universe take your future into its own hands. Maybe you can mess up your own future. 

“Bless You”

It is said that when someone says “bless you”, it is meant to be polite. Thousands of years ago, the Romans would say “Jupiter preserves you” or “slave”, which meant “good health to you”. Other people such as the Greeks would wish each other long lives. “God bless you” was started when Pope Gregory the Great uttered it in the sixth century. There are other myths that your heart stops when you sneeze, which is why people say bless you so that your soul doesn’t leave your body. 

rachel and the money

I honestly feel like what Rachel did was really great. She didn’t even think twice about the money she called the police immediately and they found the owner of the money. The man whom the money belonged to is very ill and was maybe in need of the $36,000 that Rachel had found. She believes in the bible, and she knows that a higher power will take care of her for doing the right thing. Since she was a child, she was taught to not steal or take what wasn’t hers. She is an incredible woman whom should be looked up to.

Reflection:

I think that this is a good quote because you should always ask yourself a question before doing something. I know that I always ask myself before I do something or go somewhere. If you know that the thing that you are doing or going to do it wrong then you should stop yourself. I think that asking yourself before you do something is very important because it can help you prevent something that you are doing wrong.

Health information Specialists focus on patient security or privacy, coding or records administration.

Education:

In order to become one, you have to have an associate’s degree in health information management.

Reflection:

I wouldn't want to have a career like this. It doesn’t seem like a fun job that I would want to go to every day. I would want something with more excitement.

Miles

The story was about a little boy named Miles whom found a 20 dollar bill in the parking lot of the restaurant he was going to. When he found it, he also saw that a soldier was in that same restaurant. Miles decided to give him the 20 dollar bill because the Soldier reminded Miles of his dad who had passed away when Miles was 5 weeks old. Miles dad was also a soldier.  The soldier was very shocked and he didn't know something like that could hit him so hard in an emotional sense. The soldier reads the note that the little boy gave him every day.

Environmental Health Specialist

Environmental Health Specialist

Duties and Responsibilities:

Someone that helps keep the community clean.

Salary:

$50,000-$70,000

Education:

Possession of a valid certificate of registration as an environmental health specialist issued by the California State Department of Health Services and Education.

Reflection:

As much as I would like to help keep my community clean, I wouldn’t want to have this type of career because it does seem quite boring.

Reflection: I agree with this quote. I’ve always have said that I rather be by myself than be with a group of people that will only bring me trouble. I honestly do think that you should be alone than be with someone who is bad. That will only influence you to do something bad as well. You will not always be alone. You will, one day make friends that are better than those you would have stayed with. No one is every alone in this world. There is someone for everyone.

Reflection:  I agree with this quote because if you do something right and then you just cheat on one thing, it’s going to feel wrong to you. You should only feel right about something when you do the right thing entirely.

Reflection: I think that this quote means is that you won't know where to stop in life until you have reached one of your goals.  For example, if I want to become a doctor, you have to reach certain goals to become one.

 

History behind Basketball

History behind Basketball

1.   The first basketball game was invented by a Canadian named James Naismith.

2.   Basketball was invented in Springfield, Massachusetts.

3.  Basketball was invented in 1891.

4.   Dr. James Naismith thought of it and grabbed a soccer style ball and a fruit basket.

5.  He wanted to condition young athletes during the winter.

6.   It mainly consisted of College students.

7.  In the start, the game started off with a fruit basket and with a soccer like ball. Whenever a goal was made, the janitor would bring a ladder and retrieve the ball, until the cut the bottom of the basket so that the ball would be able to go through.

9.   Basketball is different now because we have nets and we have a specific type of ball. We also have new rules now and how many people are allowed on the court.

Veterinarians care for the health of animals. They diagnose, treat, and research medical conditions that they have.

To become one you must have a Doctor of Veterinary degree.

Reflection:

I would like to become a veterinarian because my love for animals is very big. I have a big soft spot for animals and working with them would be really nice. I feel like just helping them would make me feel better because I am an animal lover.

Reflection: I feel this quote somewhat confusing. Is he trying to imply that if you do well you will get a better feeling in life? Or, is he saying that if you don’t do well that you will die. In a sense, I do get this quote because I feel like he is trying to say that if you do good you will live a happy life but, if you do bad then you won’t live a swell life. Honestly, I feel like this quote should be re-typed because it can be confusing and other people could look at it the wrong way.
