Final: Part 1

  1. Some things that I really liked about this class is that we did all of our work on the computer. Everything was really easy and i enjoyed this class.
  2. One thing that i didn't like about the class is that we didn't really get to talk about our own opinions on a certain topic.
  3. I think that Mr.Haymore should let the students speak up more and give the rest of the class their own opinion.
  4. I honestly do think that i did my best in the class. There were some days where i would slack off but other days i was trying my best.
  5. Yes i am, the book really helps me a lot and it helps me remind myself that i have goals (short term and long term) that i want to reach in life.
  6. I am not committed to being a CTR person. Even know, i don't always follow the rules and choose the right. Someone has to be really committed to being a CTR person and i don't think I'm capable of being one.
  7. I will always remember the people around me and the atmosphere of the class.

" The most important thing you will ever have is good values."

Dennis Prager

Reflection:
I think that this is very true because at the end of the day, people will only remember you for your good values. They will remember the good things that you would always do. No one ever gets remembered by the bad that they have done. Good values are very important. Sometimes, you think that what you feel is more important than your values. In some senses, its wrong. If you feel like not going to the gym, but you know that the values of going to the gym are important, you need to follow you values.

Dr.Bob is a well loved doctor because of the things that he does. He gives back to the community. He doesn't take a single dime from his paycheck. All the money that he earns he gives it to other people to help them. He helps the people that cant afford insurance or even the people that have trouble at home. He prescribes medicine to patients and then writes them a check so that it can help pay for the medication. He is a really nice and caring person and he has helped so many people. Softball

In the story, two softball teams are going against each other for the championships. Sara, a girl on the Western Oregon softball team, has never hit a home run before. When she went up to bat, she hit a home run. when she turned around to see, she messed up her knee and tore her ACL. In order for them to win, she had to make it to home base but she was stuck at first. Her team mates were not aloud to pick her up and they couldn't switch different players. Mallory and Liz, two girls from Central Washington, helped her and picked her up and took her around the bases. This really got to me because both of my knees are very bad and I would strongly appreciate it if someone did that for me.

Theodore Hesburgh
( Former President of Notre Dame)

Reflection:
i think that this quote is very true in some aspects. I don't think that people make certain decisions because they are right but because they want to make that decision. For example, people that are murderers kill people because they want to kill people. Its not right to kill a person but that choose to do it anyway. People rob banks and store for their own needs. Its not the right think to do but again, they do it because they want to. I feel like people make certain decisions because they want to make them whether they are right or wrong.

My two favorite bands are One Direction and 5 Seconds of Summer. Both of them are on tour and I've been to their concerts before. This year, I really want to go to the new One Direction concert because they are going to be playing new songs from their new album. There is this new band that is just starting and they are called Out With The Old. They have a show coming up on the 27th and I really want to go to their show since they aren't that popular yet. I've been stressing over school and my sweet 16 is coming up so I have a lot of pressure coming up. With finals coming up in two months and the Interdisciplinary Project I know that I’m going to be very stressed out. There is so much going on and the last thing i want to do is be stressed out.

football

This story is very nice considering the fact that it is middle school kids and they are football players. That football team made someones day by letting them score a touchdown. one of the boys in the team is mentally disabled and the rest of the team wanted to see him happy. When it was time to play they got as close as they could get to the goal post so that they can get Keith to make a touchdown. When they gave the ball to Keith, the boys crowded around them and pushed him to the touchdown mark. When Keith made the touch down everyone was so happy and his parents couldn't believe it. This is a very heartwarming story.

In the story, Rich McKee won a championship wrestling match for his father who is fighting cancer. He knew that it would mean so much for his father and he would train and practice all the time so that he could win. I thought that it was nice to see that. Rich really loves his dad and he wanted to see his dad happy and make him forget that he was sick for one day. His father was extremely proud of Rich for winning the state championship. “The best way to predict your future is to create it.”
Charles Ketterer

Reflection:  I agree with this quote because you can always set your goals so that you know how your future turns out. But, sometimes is doesn’t always work like that. Maybe the universe doesn’t want your life to be that way and they give you a harder time to reach that goal. Sometimes it’s just good to kind of let the universe take your future into its own hands. Maybe you can mess up your own future.
“Bless You”

It is said that when someone says “bless you”, it is meant to be polite. Thousands of years ago, the Romans would say “Jupiter preserves you” or “slave”, which meant “good health to you”. Other people such as the Greeks would wish each other long lives. “God bless you” was started when Pope Gregory the Great uttered it in the sixth century. There are other myths that your heart stops when you sneeze, which is why people say bless you so that your soul doesn’t leave your body.

I honestly feel like what Rachel did was really great. She didn’t even think twice about the money she called the police immediately and they found the owner of the money. The man whom the money belonged to is very ill and was maybe in need of the $36,000 that Rachel had found. She believes in the bible, and she knows that a higher power will take care of her for doing the right thing. Since she was a child, she was taught to not steal or take what wasn’t hers. She is an incredible woman whom should be looked up to.
