Veterans Day
The Treaty of Versailles was signed
on June 28, 1919. November 11 remained in the public imagination as the date
that marked the end of the Great War. We celebrate Veterans Day to thank the soldiers
who have fought for our country, living and dead. Veterans Day is often
confused with Memorial Day. They both celebrate the soldiers who have fought
for our country but, Memorial Day celebrates those who have died and Veterans Day
celebrates those who have died and those who are still alive or still fighting.
Veterans Day is the day that you thank
the soldiers for fighting for our freedom.
